Disassembling storage tanks is part of our day-to-day work at Meuva. In this particular project, it was a Cone Roof Tank, and involved careful removal of the roof.
The tank was disassembled using what we call the 'letterbox method'. Plate cutters were used to create a hole in the wall, after we perforated an outline and removed a strip of the tank's material. We then allowed gravity to work its magic and pull the heavy roof off to one side. It was then cut away entirely, after which the floor and walls were removed using this same method.
